raaste hain juda juda

rahat fateh ali khan gets to do nusrat in zindagi ye song in the forthcoming Dil Kabaddi. This one should rise quick on charts, I hope. The music director is somewhat unknown (sachin gupta) but the other tracks are fine too. The movie should be fantastic given the fine ensemble of actors. I wanted rahul bose and irrfan to come together in a movie since long. it was so much fun to watch arshad warsi with irrfan in Sunday.

zindagi ye safar mein hai
kat raha hai raasta
humsafar to hai magar
manzilen hain juda juda.

I'm not impressed with the soundtrack of rab ne bana di jodi. Salim-Suleiman have plenty of melody in them and a fine arrangement sense too - I don't know what happens to them with Yash Raj. O re Piya was the only impressive one in Aaja Nachle. and rith rnbdj, the best they get is haule haule with sukhwinder - some fine lyrics, some nice modulations. Old fashioned dholak or even tabla gets to me - but well looking back at DDLJ, the songs were pretty old-fashioned there too. Perhaps they could have put in some more melody. something. But, the real creative song is phir milenge chalte chalte. fabulous lyrics and note combination.
